Remote Desktop Access

To access your computer using a Windows Remote Desktop Connection (RDC), you have two secure options to choose from. You can either use the VPN client or the Terminal Services Gateway. There are two ways to use TS Gateway. One is through a secure website, the other is by setting advanced options in the Windows RDC software.

Virtual Private Network (VPN) Client

  1. Log into the IT Software Distribution website using your O-Key information.

    https://app.it.okstate.edu/sdc/login.php

  2. Select the client labeled "Windows - Cisco VPN Version 5.0.03.0560"

Note: Version number may be different.

  3. Download the program by clicking the "Start Download Disk 1" button and save it to your computer.

  4. Run the OSUVPNClient.exe file that you downloaded and click the Unzip button.

  5. Browse to your C:\VPN directory and run the vpnclient-win-msi-5.0.03.0560-k9.exe file.

  6. Click the Unzip button then wait for the installer to come up.

Note: Version number in filename may be different.

  7. Proceed through the installer by clicking Next several times.

  8. Once the installer has finished, restart your computer.

  9. Once your computer is back up, browse back to the C:\VPN directory and run the configOSUVPN.vbs file.

  10. Click OK twice then run the VPN client from your Start menu.

  11. Select OSUVPN from the Connection Entries tab, then click the Connect button.
